Long-time friends Dana Fares and Katie Roberts have had an expansive history working in the film and TV industry. Katie cut her teeth acting and eventually found her voice writing after she launched her hit podcast Clit Talk. Also an actor/writer/producer, Dana’s first film Yard Sale premiered in 2020 at the Hollyshorts, and her most recent project, Dale’s House is premiering at SXSW this year.
When Dana and Katie teamed up in 2018, they bolstered each other’s strengths - Dana bringing her unique perspective, structure and ability to get things done and Katie presenting her five original show concepts and fully fleshed out pilots. Under the guidance of Dan Truly (SVU, Blue Bloods), they were able to produce a proof of concept for IVIP - a female driven medical dramedy - with a modest budget and that has opened a lot of doors. They continued to produce projects, including a short film in 2020 (yes, safely during the pandemic) and are currently working on getting their next round of ideas to pitch.
